1. Unique tank protection program generates more than $15,000 added revenue

At our recommended and competitive cost to the homeowner, the oil dealer can realize as much as a $15,000 annual profit for every 1500 customers on the program.

C & S Scientific has expanded the established tank program first originated by Parke Hill Chemical, and now offers an exclusive TANK PROTECTION PROGRAM proven to generate substantial added revenue from your existing customers. The program involves the annual addition of a 3-ounce bottle of TANK SHIELD to each 275 gallon tank to protect the tank and lines from corrosion and pitting. A second treatment involves the addition of a 3-ounce bottle of FUEL GUARD to protect the tank and lines from fouling and to create an atmosphere hostile to bioorganisms.

2. Concentrated cold flow improver (1:7500) simplifies tankwagon deliveries

Every heating season, DIESEL ADD 7500 performs consistently and effectively, saving many fuel distributors the difficult logistical problems associated with more dilute additives.

A unique and highly concentrated diesel fuel improver, DIESEL-ADD 7500, is designed to fully protect a 7500 gallon tankwagon of fuel from gelling and icing at a ratio of only one gallon for the entire load. The resulting mix is superior to cold flow properties otherwise attained with up to 1/3 kerosene blends – and with no loss in cetane or lubricity. A major added benefit of the concentrated product is a resulting significant decrease in the incremental treatment cost per gallon of treated fuel because of the savings in manufacture and production of the product.

3. One-pint bottle of additive per 275 gal. tank achieves total cold flow protection

SOS is available in cases of 12 x 1 pint durable and easy-to-pour plastic bottles at prices equal to those of competitive products – BUT now only one bottle is necessary instead of two!

Only a one-pint bottle of the highly concentrated SOS is all that’s needed to totally protect a 275 gallon tank no matter how low the outside temperature -- unlike the most common competitive brands that often recommend a double dose if below PLUS 20°F. Equally effective with heating oil and diesel fuel.

4. NORA study confirms the oil-stabilizing benefits of C & S additive

Every long-term maintenance treatment produced by C & S Scientific, including PMT and DIESEL ADD, now include all the stabilizing benefits of TREAT NOW - benefits proven by the NORA study.

An independent NORA and Brookhaven Labs survey and lab study, incorporating a specific C&S additive, found that heating oil treatments containing the components found in TREAT NOW yielded a much more stable product compared to untreated fuel. In fact, the additized oil was much more resistant to oil degradation and sediment buildup, and also significantly extended fuel oil quality.
The findings confirm that TREAT NOW is today’s most economical and effective fuel treatment.

5. Diesel additives minimize gelling problems associated with new ULSD fuels

During the inaugural year for ULSD product, many reports circulated of unusual gelling problems as soon as temperatures approached single-digit levels. Observations included paraffin buildup within filters and strainers, but without any evidence of wax formation entering or exiting the same. At the C&S lab, we actually observed two ULSD samples collected from one 3,000 gallon tank that showed a significant wax separation (a cloud point of 28F at the top level and 5F at the bottom level) from one specific diesel delivery.

Despite these new phenomena, and unlike the high frequency of operating problems encountered by many ULSD users even with a treated oil product, regular treatment with C&S Diesel Fuel Conditioners helped to consistently provide a free-flowing ULSD product throughout the coldest temperatures of the season…with only scattered reports of any operating problems (follow-up lab and field found that operating problems were not due to inferior cold flow specifications but to factors typically associated with cold temperatures such as mechanical configuration, physical design, and/or excessive water).
